
Hannah O. Kim is a Korean-American freelance pianist, collaborator, and private piano instructor originally from South Korea where she started studying piano at the age of six. She is currently based in the DFW, Texas area of the United States, where she continues her musical journey.

During her early school years, she gave her first public performance as a classical pianist, performing Kuhlau’s Complete Sonatinas for a young artists piano competition in South Korea.
Since then, she has participated in numerous piano competitions, including the prestigious MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Competition, and has achieved several notable accomplishments.
​
Throughout her musical journey, she has studied under the guidance of distinguished musicians including Drs., Carl Anthony, Kazuo Murakami, Tomoko Kashiwagi, and Naoki Hakutani.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas State University, earning a Bachelor Arts degree in Music with a concentration in Keyboard Performance, and continues to pursue her passion for music.

Hannah enjoys curating diverse and expressive repertoires that delight audiences in concerts and recitals. Attributed to Chopin, “Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art,” a philosophy that deeply resonates with her musical approach. Her passion for music and dedication to creating beautiful and expressive art reflect her lifelong commitment to the power of music.

In addition to her work as a classical pianist, she has been actively involved in jazz band for several years and has also explored other musical roles as a violinist, singer, and harpsichord player.
She has participated in numerous musical events, including performances with wind symphonies and orchestras, university and church choirs as a soprano, and school orchestra concerts as a violinist. She has also received several All-State recognitions and participated in various music festivals.

She continues her musical journey as an educator while pursuing further artistic growth, aspiring to perform as a concert pianist on international stages.

In her free time, she loves to hangout, enjoys cooking, crafting, learning new instruments, and studying languages.
